Dear OSFAA Members & Colleagues,
 

As I reflect on the success of our very first OSFAA Spring Expo, the word value comes to mind!
 

The excitement, engagement, and collaboration that took place at Foundry Social in Medina exceeded every expectation we had for this event. Bringing together more than 60 members, exhibitors, manufacturers, distributors, and industry professionals in one room created an incredible atmosphere focused on learning, networking, and strengthening our Ohio security and fire alarm industry.

What makes me especially proud is the feedback we received following the event. Both attendees and exhibitors provided OSFAA with an incredible Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 100. This is a truly remarkable accomplishment and a reflection of the value that everyone in attendance helped create together.

 

This event was about much more than exhibits and presentations. It was about meaningful conversations, relationship-building, and learning from one another as our industry continues to evolve.

 

Our expert panel discussions provided valuable insight into important business topics, including strategies for driving additional recurring monthly revenue (RMR), adapting to changing market trends, and positioning companies for long-term growth and success. At the same time, attendees had the opportunity to connect directly with dozens of manufacturers, distributors, and service providers who play such an important role in supporting our businesses.

 

One of the things I enjoyed most was hearing the overwhelmingly positive feedback from both dealers and vendors after the event:

  • Patrick O’Bryan, Regional Sales Manager with Nice North America/2GIG/Linear, shared:
    • “As a manufacturer’s representative it can often be difficult to make the rounds to every dealer office in an area. An opportunity like this to not just show and demonstrate our new products but to also socialize and get to know them is invaluable.”
  • Another exhibitor commented:
    • “You provided both the Dealers and Vendors an excellent opportunity to visit with one another — a feat that does not always happen.”
  • Phil Smida II, Operations Manager with SOS Security Systems, noted:
    • “Expo was very informative on what strategies and changes that other companies are doing in the industry and where the industry is heading.”
  • Mike Fye, Install Manager with Securitec, shared:
    • “It was enjoyable to network with the competition, talking about industry trends and preparing for the changes coming in the future.”

These comments perfectly capture what OSFAA is all about! We are creating opportunities for education, collaboration, and meaningful industry connections that help our members grow and improve their businesses. 

 

I want to personally thank everyone who attended, exhibited, sponsored, and helped support this event. Your involvement is what made the Spring Expo such an incredible success and reinforces the growing value of OSFAA membership.

 

We are continuing to build momentum across the association, and events like this demonstrate just how strong our industry becomes when we come together to share ideas, support one another, and invest in the future. Thank you again for your continued support of OSFAA. I look forward to seeing all of you at our upcoming Clay Shoot on September 9th at Eagles Nest Sporting Clays in Gilead, OH!
